At the RPA party at this past AHR Show in Orlando, the next chapter in the Carlson-Holohan Industry Award of Excellence was revealed as John Goshulak, P.Eng., was announced the next torch bearer of said biennual award, which is bestowed upon an individual who is selfless and gives his/her time to raise the benchmark of professionalism throughout the heating/hydronics industry. The proclamation states that recipients who receive this award —  present were winners Dan Holohan, Dave Yates, John Barba, John Siegenthaler, Mark Eatherton, Robert Bean, and now Goshulak — keep the human race healthy, well and comfortable through selfless giving of time and talents, teaching and mentoring for the betterment of our great industry.

Goshulak is one of Canada’s well known and highly respected industry ambassadors. He has served on numerous fund raising, education and code development projects for over three decades. He has served two Chairmanships on the Canadian Hydronics Council; and as a founding partner he invested two years as Chair of Canada’s Beautiful Heat Campaign. Goshulak was also Chair of the Canadian Institute Plumbing and Heating’s Hydronics Marketing Group which included chairing two consecutive Great Lakes Hydronics Conferences.

He has been a member or Chaired numerous CSA Committees including ISO/TC291; Strategic Steering Committee (Fuel Burning Equipment), F300 Depressurization Committee, B214 Installation Code for Hydronic Heating Systems and National Energy Code for Buildings. In 2013 Goshulak received the 1st Annual Canadian Hydronics Council Award of Merit.

Carlson-HolohanJohn Goshulak is Professional Engineer, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering in 1984 from the University of Toronto. He is Vice-President Sales and Marketing at Weil-McLain Canada.
