Dual Heat Exchangers Deliver Up to 399K Bthu
Ariston Group introduced a new commercial heating system that improves energy efficiency while also offering increased redundancy and reliability.
Elite ULTRA Duo boilers from HTP include dual heat exchangers that provide built-in operational redundancy. With firing rates between 285,000 to 399,000 Btuh, the boiler guarantees energy savings with up to 96 percent Annualized Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE). The turndown ratio of up to 20:1 limits short cycling and provides more efficient energy consumption. Cascade up to four Duo boilers to further increase redundancy and provide up to an 80 to 1 turndown ratio.
Two XtraTech stainless steel heat exchangers stand at the heart of the system. High grade stainless steel ensures maximum quality and corrosion resistance. The heat exchanger design features up to 400 percent larger pipe surface area when compared to conventional designs and ensures high performance and an extremely low drop in water pressure. The process reduces deposits while ensuring a longer lifetime for the boiler.
The Elite ULTRA Duo stands 41 inches high and 30 inches wide and deep, which allows it to be installed in a small building footprint while still generating up to 399,000 Btuh. The Duo boiler may also be stacked in groups of two using the easy to use mounting bracket, further reducing overall boiler room footprint.
HTP, a brand of the Ariston Group, has a wide range of highly efficient products and system components for space heating and water heating. Using the most durable components in the industry, HTP is synonymous with high-quality and long-lasting products that help customers save energy and money.

Bosch Thermotechnology, a leading global source of high-quality heating, cooling, and hot water systems, debuted at two new versions within the IDS Family, IDS Premium Connected and IDS Light, and the third generation of the Climate 5000 ductless system mini-split heat pump. All three products are set to become available to the market in the first half of 2022.
“By expanding the Inverter Ducted Split (IDS) Family to include two additional versions by summer 2022, Bosch aims to extend accessibility to high-quality systems and boost connectivity,” said Goncalo Costa, Director of the AC Regional Business Unit at Bosch Thermotechnology. “We are excited to unveil the new game-changing IDS Light, the only 15-SEER inverter compressor solution on the market. It provides the comfort you expect from an IDS system at a more standard efficiency level and lower price point.”
The IDS Premium Connected provides the same high-quality comfort as the IDS Premium but also includes connected technology through a mobile app. The connected system was developed after extensive market research as a solution for the pain points that contractors and homeowners experience and offers installation guidance, remote monitoring, troubleshooting, easy warranty registration, and monthly energy usage monitoring.
As the market demand for ductless mini-splits continues to grow, Bosch will also showcase its newest mini-split heat pump, the Climate 5000 3.0. The highly efficient system provides ample residential heating and cooling up to 60,000 Btuh for single-zone and up to 48,000 Btuh for multi-zone applications. This inverter-driven heat pump is available in indoor and outdoor models and provides both regular and high heat solutions to suit any home. Additionally, it offers enhanced energy efficiency of up to a 28 SEER rating, which is a 6 point improvement from the 2.0 system, and improved humidity control.
Additional high quality heating and cooling solutions for both residential and commercial spaces to be featured at the Bosch booth include:
- QV (Commercial) and WQ (Residential) Heat Pumps
- Singular Combi Boiler Series
- Bosch Connected Controls – BCC100, BCC50
- Inverter Ducted Packaged System
- Buderus SSB with Low Loss Header
- Greenstar Boilers
- Greentherm 9000

Designed to Deliver 20% Lower Operating Costs
Armstrong Fluid Technology has introduced a new size range of Design Envelope Permanent Magnet pumps that are engineered to deliver 20% lower operating costs than variable speed pumps with standard induction motors.
The new pumps are available with motors ranging from15 hp to 50 hp, and operate at NEMA Ultra-Premium Efficiency levels that exceed the efficiency targets of both the US Department of Energy and the European Union.
“Better performance at higher RPMs means that in some cases a smaller Design Envelope Permanent Magnet Pump can deliver the same flow and pressure as a larger, more expensive competing model,” said David Lee, Offering Manager, Armstrong Fluid Technology. “These new pumps also feature smaller dimensions and are less expensive to purchase and install because permanent magnet motors offer a substantial reduction in both size and weight.”
Beyond the motor efficiency, a number of additional design innovations make the new Design Envelope pumps more energy-efficient and cost-effective:
- Armstrong’s patented Parallel Sensorless Control stages multiple pumps and regulates output for best efficiency across the entire pump array, saving 10-30% in operating costs
- Adjustable design points and setpoint based on the actual on-site conditions
- A quadratic pressure control curve that provides more efficiency than a linear pressure control curve
- A constant-flow function for maintaining a desired flow rate in recirculation applications
- Advanced connectivity via Armstrong’s Pump Manager, a cloud-based performance tracking service, provides industry-leading analytics and insights along with alerts, alarms and data storage
