We’re using the existing house boiler (@viessmann_us Vitodens 100) as the source for the new garage that will have radiant floor heat and DHW on this project up in Crosby, MN on Serpent Lake.
I’ve used the Ecoflex piping system multiple times. Most recently for the #auneshop but on other projects I’ve posted like the #duluthbuild as well where we are using it for the same application as this, to utilize the house boiler to heat an outbuilding.
It’s my opinion that this is the best product on the market for ease of install overall. I bought this, this isn’t a sponsored post. It’s expensive af per foot but like I said, it’s the best to work with. I’ve installed other brands too so I have experience with other iterations of this type of system. So far the two others I’ve used are not even comparable.

Safety when working around gas systems is critical. This CO detector is super easy to setup, the alert is loud, battery life is 24 months.

MX Fuel hand held core drill. I’ve haven’t talked a lot about this drill. I’ve owned it for 3-4-ish years and have drilled maybe 100 holes with it.
This is one of the nicest, best built tools @milwaukeetool makes in my opinion.
Earlier this week I drilled two 5.5” x 12”holes thru core filled block for some heating pipes we dug in for a detached garage. Each hole used nearly a whole battery. The batteries made it all the way thru for each hole. While drilling the second hole the first battery was charging, it was at about 75% charge when I finished the second hole. The kit charger is not a fast charger, but Milwaukee does have MX fast chargers.
It’s an expensive tool. It’s a whole separate battery platform BUT for me it’s super useful and isn’t likely to be replaced by another battery core drill.

“As far as diversification goes, with the recent boom of all the new kind of traditional service plumbing companies and P and H companies turning into home service companies, I think me personally—this June is 21 years l’ve been in business for myself—I already have always been the guy that did plumbing HVAC, service plumbing, well pumps, gas, oil,” says Chris Armstrong @pstheplumber . “I pretty much do everything already and I think I’m kind of leaning towards going the other way and tightening down to the things that I make that I get the most calls for and that I make the most money with.”
More on diversification, check story link in bio.

As for adding new employees, “I actually went back-and-forth for about a year before hiring my first apprentice about three months ago,” says Keith McGillavary, owner, McGillivary’s Plumbing Services, Gardiner, Maine @mps_207 . Ultimately, the only thing stopping him from doing that sooner was trying to find the right person. “I am super particular and I didn’t want to just hire somebody that was already out in the field.” Read more through Diversify Your Business thru link in bio.
