Rinnai America Corporation, a manufacturer of the number-one selling brand of tankless gas water heaters in North America, launches the new and improved SENSEI™ RSC Condensing Tankless Water Heater, introduced to the North American market in June 2022. Eventually replacing further production of the RUR models, Rinnai’s RSC will deliver the same superior quality, advanced Smart-Circ™ Intelligent Recirculation™ technology and easier installation for PROs.
“With the updated RSC model, we can provide our PROs and customers with a top-of-the-line product that includes the latest technology to improve overall performance,” Frank Windsor, President, Rinnai America Corporation. “We’re not only improving the users’ experience but also making our PROs installation process more efficient and cost-effective.”
Smart-Circ Intelligent Recirculation
The RSC model offers a variety of new benefits to homeowners and PROs, including Rinnai’s latest addition of Smart-Circ Intelligent Recirculation technology. With Smart-Circ, external controllers are no longer required to provide recirculation for customers, making installation a smoother process. Smart-Circ “learns” users’ hot water patterns over seven days, then schedules pump and tankless recirculation patterns accordingly. Hot water usage must be greater than 20 seconds to be added to Smart-Circ’s memory, minimizing any unwanted recirculation.
In addition, the RSC model will have a more efficient multi-speed DC pump, providing improved performance with a higher flow rate, better head pressure and more flexible operation. Upgrades will also be seen in high-temperature climes with the revised low-flow activation logic.
Easy Installation and Serviceability
The RSC model provides the latest in improved performance technology and efficiency, but it also reduces install time and costs for PROs via the following:
- Simplified recirculation option eliminates the need for the internal bypass and recirculation plug filters.
- Flexible venting can be installed in an existing condensing vent system for replacement, and new installs use smaller, lighter less expensive concentric venting, including 2” venting options.
- Mounting bracket for a versatile design, enabling side-to-side movement for easy vent alignment.
- Quick gas conversion with an inexpensive conversion kit that requires just three simple steps
- Convenient isolation valves and PRV assembly, which can rotate 360 degrees to accommodate the installation of isolation valves in any application.
- Effortless parameter adjustments with an easily accessible control panel
Rinnai’s brand promise of Creating a healthier way of living® is at the forefront of all the company’s efforts. By continuing to provide PROs and their customers with the latest tankless technologies, Rinnai is aiding in providing homes and commercial buildings with energy-efficient hot water options for cleaner and healthier living.

Bradley Corp., industry-leading manufacturer of lead-free thermostatic mixing valves and tepid water delivery solutions, introduces its newest Navigator® digital mixing valve, which delivers precise temperature control and programmable features. Engineered with advanced technology to deliver and maintain water temperatures within +/- 3º F, even during low and zero demand periods, the digital valve maximizes safety and efficiency for domestic hot water systems.
The valve’s intuitive controller allows proactive temperature control by setting the temperature for normal operation and scheduling periodic thermal disinfection cycles. Data logging and BMS integration allow for convenient remote monitoring to ensure the proper water temperature is being distributed, eliminating the risk of elevated temperatures and scalding.
To keep water clean and safe, the automatic daily ball rotation feature removes scale to keep the valve running smoothly while reducing cleaning and maintenance time. The valve’s exclusive, programmable weekly thermal disinfection system raises temperatures to kill Legionella and other harmful bacteria. After disinfection, the system will automatically flush hot water and reset for daily use.
The tight temperature control, remote monitoring capabilities, and easy-to-program thermal disinfection system make the valve ideal for larger domestic hot water systems such as schools, hospitals, hotels and apartment buildings.
The S59-5000 series valve is available in five models ranging from 3/4” to 2” in size. Two valves can also be combined into a manifold system to deliver even higher flow rates up to 409 GPM at 20 psi drop.
Each model comes complete with valve, actuator, mixed and return sensors, mixed temperature gauge and controller for a comprehensive ready-to-install package. All materials are 100% factory assembled and tested.

Paired with easy installation, the kit boosts tankless water heater efficiency, bringing household hot water demand to the homeowner’s fingertips
With Noritz’s, introduced in 2019, hot-water distribution throughout the home is virtually instantaneous, providing hot water on demand using its built-in recirculation pump. More recently, Noritz has taken its innovative NRCR one step further with the new Wireless On-Demand Push Button Kit.
The kit, sold separately as an add-on accessory, brings the convenience of readily accessible hot water with a simple touch of a button, converting the NRCR to a push-button operation. The kit includes a wireless receiver, two wireless transmitters to start and stop the on-demand recirculation mode, batteries, a wire connector, and the additional accessories needed to complete the installation.
Up to a total of six transmitters can be paired to one receiver. Although the push button can operate on three AAA batteries, the kit also offers a micro USB connection to power the receiver. Connecting a micro USB cable to the receiver, homeowners can plug into an outlet using a power adaptor.
The receiver is wired to the water heater, so that when the transmitter button is pressed, the recirculation pump activates, providing water to prime the line. This technology reduces system and recirculation pump runtime, providing energy savings.
Installers are not required to use this specific kit. However, using other kits would involve either:
(1) wiring the transmitters to the unit (the push buttons that are currently available, for example); or
(2) building a piecemeal kit, using items purchased elsewhere.
The Noritz Wireless On-Demand Push Button Kit, on the other hand, offers homeowners maximum convenience and flexibility, using either batteries or the USB wall plug-in.
In addition, the push button kit accessory is Title 24-compliant, offering West Coast customers the ability to have hot water on demand while also meeting building-code requirements and saving energy.
The Wireless On-Demand Push Button Kit is compatible with all NRCR models. To learn the basics of installing the push button kit, view a special video on the process.

Adey’s new MagnaClean CMX range of filters provides adaptive magnetic and non-magnetic side-stream filtration for closed-loop heating and chiller applications
As plumbing, HVAC and mechanical contractors become all too familiar with the extended costs of maintaining commercial hydronic heating components or system life, the need for a solution has been growing. Adey® answered that need with the introduction of the MagnaClean CMX™ range to the North American market in May 2022.
This easy-to-service range of filters not only protects system equipment — heat pumps, boilers, pipework, and sensors/controls — but also reduces maintenance costs and hours, improves heat transfer, heat output and efficiency, saves energy, lower clients’ utility bills, and reduces carbon emissions.
Why wait for system issues to arise?
The MagnaClean CMX range is the latest innovative extension of Adey’s market-leading MagnaClean® range of filters, offering a new and unique way of capturing both magnetic and non-magnetic debris by combining powerful neodymium magnets with a range of high quality, 5-50 micron spun-bonded filter cartridges, and needle-felt bag filters.
These cartridge-and-bag filters also act as passive deaerators, encouraging the release of dissolved air and gases from the system water, which can then be vented via the automatic air vent that is included with each of the three side-stream filters within the range: the MagnaClean CMX Nano™, Midi and Maxi.
Side-stream installation helps reduce installation time, complexity, and costs, with no need to partially or fully drain a system or cut into and weld pipework and flanges. Pipework connections can also be downsized, offering further cost-effective installation options. Existing side-stream pipework connections can also be used, meaning an existing pot feeder can be easily replaced by a CMX filter.
The MagnaClean CMX range can also be serviced with minimal system downtime or flushing, meaning minimal water and heat loss during system maintenance. This makes the range ideal for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications such as manufacturing plants, sports facilities, hospitals, schools, etc. The Midi and Maxi sizes also act as pot feeders, making chemical dosing /water treatment management effortless.
Quality construction, easy installation
Adey has honored its roots by working to maximize the quality with this new filter range, constructed from 316L stainless steel with EPDM seals. Compact and lightweight, with self-supporting and floor-standing options, tool-free servicing, and removable magnet assemblies, the MagnaClean CMX range is easy to install and service.
The innovative CMX Nano External Magnetic Jacket and CMX Nano filter combine to help accelerate the removal of highly damaging magnetite debris from heated-water and chilled-water systems, creating what is possibly the most compact, yet powerful commercial system-filter combination available today.
The innovative MagnaClean CMX range is a highly efficient and flexible product solution that delivers formidable dual-filtration performance, direct chemical dosing capability, and improved system efficiencies and protection, helping to reduce maintenance costs, energy usage, and carbon emissions.
