NIBCO INC. introduces additional configurations of its 585HP (High Performance) Bronze Ball Valves line. The original 585HP line was introduced earlier this year, representing a giant leap in innovation in the ball valve market. Designed for commercial and industrial applications, the lead-free 585HP ball valve line allows for easier installation, adjustability, and long service life.
New configurations in this phase include thread x press end connections for sizes 1⁄2” – 2” and hose cap and chain for sizes 1⁄2” & 3⁄4” for solder, press, and threaded end connections. All 585HP valves are North American-made and have the following listings and certifications: MSS-SP110/145; IAPMO/ANSI Z1157; NSF/ANSI/CAN 61-8 Commercial Hot 180° F; NSF/ANSI 372; ICC-ES PMG-1558 and ASME A112.4.14/CSA B125.14.

The new configurations feature the same evolutionary design as the original 585HP including the patented laser-welded construction which eliminates the threaded body to body-end connection allowing for a higher operating pressure up to 1,000 CWP and 150 SWP, and operating temperature up to 250° F.
The patent-pending top works features an easily reversible handle providing flexibility for on-site modifications, large accessible packing nut, and triple-sealed stem. These elements combine to make a valve that is easy to install, durable, and dependable all backed by a 10-year, 125 percent limited warranty.

Nibco adds new Iron, Copper for Gas & ACR Press Fittings
Copper and iron press fittings are a mainstay in the plumbing and hvac industry. Nearly every job site, project or contractor has made the switch to this technology because of the promise of labor savings.
Heres a look at what is coming in 2020 from Nibco. I think what is most interesting is their entry into the Press G market (copper press fittings for gas). I’m located in Minnesota, copper piping for all fuel gas is common for both residential and commercial work. One of Nibco’s biggest competitors has recently pulled their copper press gas fitting off shelves in North America due to some changes to the CSA testing and certification standard. Nibco’s gas fittings have the CSA US stamp on them which should make them acceptable wherever copper piping for gas is allowed.

Installers can save up to 75% in installation time with new press transition ball valves from NIBCO INC. The innovative press by PEX design needs no extra components to transition from copper piping to PEX. That makes connections from one piping system easier and faster; while eliminating additional hardware and potential leak paths.
The NIBCO family of transition valves features the only press by PEX configuration available today. Other configurations include press by union threaded, press by union solder and press by union male.
“We’ve designed the transition valves to reduce time, money and potential risks,” explained Riccardo D’Angelo, NIBCO product manager-Valves. “Current methodology requires additional components and time to install, resulting in higher total costs and more potential leak paths.”
Additional features include a compact design that installs easily in tight spaces. A leak detection system on press ends identifies uncrimped connections during system testing. A patent-pending stainless steel ring design on larger sizes also ensures a solid press crimped connection.
Manufactured from a lead-free* brass alloy, the valves are dezincification-resistant (DZR). Valves are rated up to 250 PSI cold working pressure and feature a blowout-proof stem. Sizes range from 1/2″ to 1”.
With the addition of the PC-FP600A-LF series, the NIBCO press valve line includes more than 600 SKUs, the largest product range in the industry.
Applications for the new PC-FP600A-LF valve series include potable water, HVAC (condensers, chilled water and hot water heating), hydronics, isolation and throttling.
